At the base of the flagpole we have some tributes - one of these is a basket of paper flowers .

On Friday 22 March, we will join with other schools around the country for a campaign called 'Colour Your Day'. This will be our mufti day, where we will wear bright, happy colours (but please NOT red as this is the least culturally appropriate colour, from the perspective of the Muslim community). Please bring a gold coin donation. Our student leaders are planning a Tribute Ceremony for lunchtime - more details to come.
Students who bring scooters and skateboards to school are reminded that this is a privilege, and they need to be used carefully in the right areas. Students may ride their scooters and skateboards ONLY at the back of the Sports Centre, beside the Astroturf. In ALL other areas of the school, scooters and skateboards are NOT to be ridden. This is becoming a health and safety issue with too many being ridden in the main school areas and between classes. Currently, we are one of the few colleges that allow skateboards and scooters at school - for Term 1 and 4 only. However, if they are not being used responsibly, then they will be banned from school for the rest of this term.
Check out "The Dress Project" on facebook and instagram for Eco-ethical fashion where you can hire or buy a ball gown. Great place to go if on a budget! Run by students in Kapiti as a non-profit organisation to try minimise the pollution caused by fast fashion.
