Jovilisi runs it up against Taita

College Sport Wellington runs a regional rugby league competition , played at the finish of the rugby union season. In 2008, 2009 AND 2010, the Upper Hutt College team have been the regional champions for the whole of Wellington.  In 2010, 16 colleges entered the competition from the greater Wellington region. And Upper Hutt College won for the third year in a row!!

In 2011, our team has had a mixed bag of result, winning and losing in equal measure. A junior competition has also involved a number of year 9 and 10 players, whoshow much promise for the future.

Upper Hutt College has produced some very talented league players in recent years. Three former students - Bernard Gregorius, Murphy Taramai and Danny Connell, play for the senior Wellington Orcas. Sika Manu, current Melbourne Storm and Kiwi player, visited the college in 2010, prior to the 4 nations test match in Wellington against England.
