GOLF

College Sport Wellington offers a golf competition on Monday after school in terms 1 and 4 for golfers with a handicap. Currently Upper Hutt College has some outstanding golfers in the student body and we are current Regional Champions.

 TOP GOLF TEAM FOR WELLINGTON

The college premier golf team has won the Mark Brown Cup as the top Wellington school for golf this year. In a close contest with Sacred Heart College on Friday 23 April at the Shandon Golf Course, the team of Ben Slaven, Sheridan Rangihuna and Leigeon Tumataroa, won by 3 shots after 18 holes of golf. After 17 holes, Sacred Heart had a narrow lead but a birdie by Ben Slaven on the last hole swung the final score Upper Hutt's way.

The team has qualified for the College Nationals in Dunedin later in the year. Well done to the team and to convenors Merv Waiwai and Livisi Latailakepa.
